...cause I usually have no more than that.

It's been a while...

...but here is the summary:

I changed three jobs and girlfriends, made some money, went on some trips and had some fun along the way. I realized how idiotic it is to keep a blog, if I want to keep a journal or something, I'll start writing my diary again.

Peace out,

I'll post something next year.

WEDDING BELLS!!!!!!!!!!

Happy day all, my big brother has gotten himself married! I wish them all the joy this world can bring. I'm happy as a clam actually since they are moving to the States later this year.

This whole situation requires a lot more elaboration and I will go into intricate details later on. But for now, let this picture suffice. On Friday November 10, 2006 I was witness to it, acted as the best man, and gave my brother the rings for him and his wife. I couldn't stop grinning through the whole thing, since on one hand I had my brother, a man of almost 30, getting married and embarking on the most important role he has ever taken on. On the other hand, during the ceremony, every time I looked over at him, I saw a small boy in swimming trunks ordering me around at the beach, kicking sand around, and always, always looking out for me. Very bizzare.

more later folks.

To pull a Homer

To succeed despite idiocy! True believers, I think I have done it! My job is great, and I couldn’t ask for more. I love what I do, and the environment is awesome. The people are supportive; all work is done in XP. It’s good for me as a new guy, since I’m still learning the ropes. But it’s good, I think I’m blending in and getting a feel for the job.

In other news, my place is great, it’s so weird, and I’m missing some pieces that make a home. I.e. I still dont have any hooks on my doors for jackets and such, I dont do not have a door mat, nor do I have a little dish for my soap. It so weird, I’m building a home by myself and I have to put all the pieces together, it’s exciting and frustrating at the same time.

What sucks ass is the fact that I don’t have a car, and I have to lug everything in my backpack and my bicycle. Oh yeah and the buses are shit here... unreliable, late, and slow.

More later....

hold the lettuce

Well my unemployment streak ended with a bang! Not only did I get a new job, I will have to move to the States to work on it. Specifically the town of Kirkland, WA. which is close to Seattle. This company is based outta Poole, England and they have offices worldwide. The exciting aspect of the job is the fact that I will be back working in a Java environment, using Eclipse as the IDE.
So for the past week I've been getting my papers in order, finding an apartment to live in, sorting out the details of the position and what I need to do. Pretty exciting stuff, if you axe me. Now all I have to do is not get fired and Ill be sitting pretty.

Other than that, nothin new really; my brother is coming back finally from Europe, we'll see what he has to say about himself.

unfinished business

Hey ho whaddya know?

Today has been all about finishing unfinished business, I've fixed the bird painting and I worked on my cloudy day painting. Almost done I still have to add the bottom, I must say I like it and I have learned a lot from this one. I also finally finished my website: Check it out here It is by far the worst site on the net, but its aaaaaalll mine. Ill put in some more work to clean it up later. I just wanted to see if this thing could survive on its own.

I guess this sudden surge of activity comes on the heels of not being hired for yet another job. The latest job was with some Capital Investment firm, and they were nice enough to send me a "fuck off" letter. It just made it worse, its like: "Hey, you came so close, that we think that a mere phone call wouldn't do, we need to provide you with physical proof of your failure" Damn corporations...

Other than that, nothin new. I've been hangin out with Vanessa quite a bit lately, now that we are goin out an all. Boy that surfing trip sure had an impact didnt it?

no meaningful title

wah, its been a month since me last post, partly cause a lot has happened. So lets get started shall we?
End of month July I finally went to Tofino for the long awaited surfing trip. I had my doubts about the company since all the people involved were unknown to me. The were all loosely connected through Michelle, former coworker of mine and just about the most annoying girl imaginable. So I thought that her friends might be like her, and perhaps the trip would suck. But, damn it all I was determined to go surfing so I did.
Just to say how wrong I was about the people would be understatement, since I actually ended up hooking up with one girl that was on the trip with us. She goes by the name of Vanessa and she has a very cool personality about her. Something really agrees with me with this girl. But anywho, more about that later.
The trip went super, and I ended up actually standing up and riding some waves. We stayed in a cabin that was super clean and although there were 10 us for 2 rooms we werent cramped. So i declare the trip a complete success: I got some waves, I got some good food in me, I played in the ocean, and I got the girl. What more do u want?

Since then Ive been chilling and takin some photographs around the town, like so:

----- 20 toes -----

----- false creek -----
The pic of the nasty spread out toes is me and Emily chillin on the beach. The latter picture is of False creek taken from the water. Ive started on a new painting , am almost done with it. I thought up a new picture to do, this time in charcoal, we'll see how it turns out. Other than that, Ive been up to no good, Im almost done with my scuba diving course, this weekend I have my last 2 dives, after that I will be certified to 60ft max dives as a open water PADI diver. I've been seeing Vanessa pretty much daily, I wonder how this is gonna turn out. Am I heading into another relationship? Hmmmm, much remains to be seen.

a dishonest move

Good news and bad news. After struggling for months I finally got canned from my company and now I am back to square one. I dont mind the firing so much, it wasnt because( as I suspected) of gross incompetence and overall stupidity. It was more because of lack of work and the fact that me being a new graduate with no experience and them looking for senior developers, in fact they were looking for managers, so noplace for me. So ends my brief run as a programmer. Crud, now I gotta find a new job.

In other news I got myself a new cell-phone. It is a brand new W800i Sony Ericsson and the phone is so damn cool I cant put it down. The 2 Mega pixel camera takes super good pics, the MP3 player is really good and with the memory card I can really put a lotta songs on it. The phone retails for hundreds of dollars or something like that, but through less than honest means I managed to get it for free. Thas rite! freeeeee! BWAHAHAHAH!!
here is a pic of me and my accomplice celebrating:

Notice the tell-tell squinty eyes, tee hee. This was taken with the cellphone so the quality is pretty good.

Oh yeah as a side-bar, here is a pic of the little painting I did last. Its a budgie.
